Mail and a Childhood Film
My Heart buckle shoes and Gothic Lolita Bibles arrived today, giving me the opportunity for a lovely morning stroll to the post office to pick them up. The shoes were from Valli-sama, they’re even more beautiful in person and quite comfortable and snug! I can’t wait to wear them out
I have been flipping through the Gothic Lolita Bibles, and I must say vol. 23 is one of my favourites yet. The Macoto calendar included is just beautiful and I love the fairy tale theme of the issue, I think I might have to try the snow white make-up tutorial, its very cute!
The other issue is not quite as nice, but still interesting. The Marie antoinette OP is in there, but not in a beautiful photoshoot as I had hoped. I’m looking forward to the next issue!
This afternoon I watched The Neverending Story, I have not seen it in so long. When I was little I actually prefered the second movie, as the Gmork frightened me. Now though, I appreciate the first one more as I have read the book and have a great deal of respect for it. The movie actually focuses only on the first half of the book, the second half, where Bastian creates a new Fantasia/Fantastica is even more fascinating and rich in symbolism and philosophy. It is well worth a read.

Ooh, lovely! Those shoes are gorgeous, very beautiful. I would buy shoes online as well, from shops or other lolitas … But my feet are … A little strange, and won’t take just one size. Sometimes they like to be a size 6, sometimes all the way up to a size 8 … Bah! T_T I have some pairs that are half sizes, as well! @_@;
Volume 23 does indeed look beautiful! I’ve been considering buying a subscription, but I’m not sure … Is it worth it to purchase one, or is it best to just pick and choose favourite issues …? ^^;

What lovely shoes! I love re-watching children’s movies as an ‘adult’. They usually have very beautiful sentiments. I have never seen the Neverending Story, but you’re making want to read the book. That, and The Last Unicorn.

Out of curiosity, where did you get Charlotte from? She’s gorgeous! ooh, and how much did she cost you?

Mallory ~ I prefer to pick issues as I feel like it, but if you wish to collect the entire series it might be helpful to get a subscription.
Caer ~ I agree! I always browse the childrens isle at the video store, sometimes they hide the very best movies there!
Cordelia ~ She is from Volks Tenshi no Sato, and she was something in the range of 65,000 yen from memory.

I just got my own pair of black heart buckle shoes in the mail yesterday, and I really like them as well. They are cute and perfect for casual lolita. I am trying them out for the first time today! I think I’d like them in white also if I ever had the extra money…. ^_^
