Sweet Treats and a Perfect Day
The weather today was perfect! There wasn’t a trace of cloud in the sky and the sun was just a little warm, while the air was just a little cool
I wanted to spend the whole day lying in a field somewhere just soaking up the lovely sunshine.
This morning my darling little cake boxes arrived, they’re handmade from yarn and glue and have adorable crochetted strawberries and blueberries on top! Big thanks to Yonaki for pointing these out to me
I spent the early hours of today catching up with some online things, I’ve been so busy lately it feels like I’ve been left behind! I couldn’t stay inside all day though, so the Prince and I went to Beaufort street which is one of my favourite little shopping and cafe strips. I had a chance to browse a store called “Ware” which Skwerlie reccomended to me. They had so many cute trinkets and gifts! I especially liked the Cake soaps (which looked and smelled good enough to eat!)
and some of the stationary and jewelry with little vintage illustrations. We also went to Heart & Home and I found the most gorgeous tea cup and saucer, delicate rose pink with little rococo country scenes and gold rims. I think I might just to go back for that one some time.
We stopped for refreshments at a cute little Deli and bought Blueberry Aloe Vera drink, its the strangest thing! It actually has real aloe vera pulp in it and its a bit like drinking jelly. Our last stop was the little curio store at the end of the road, they have such whimsical things, toys from 50 years ago, antique jewelry, military hats and medals. I find old things fascinating because they have their own little stories to tell.

I wish I had enough magic in me to transport one of my home county’s, Dorset, beautiful bucolic green meadows to the Perth region for You to lie in for several hours, Princess. It would be enclosed by old hedgerows and studded with magnificently verdant oak tress brimming full of spring energy. Buttercups and poppies, bird song and the humming of bees would be there to entrance and captivate Your royal senses. The sun would gently caress Your face and with eyes closed delicate filigree patterns of light and shade would entertain You by dancing before Your closed eyelids. And I would have carried a picnic hamper full of perfect porcelain, neatly folded white linen and burnished silver and little delicacies to amuse the palates of You and Your friends when You awake out of Your beautiful reverie, Princess.
