Snow Princess and Tea cake

BABY the stars shine bright Caplet I baked a cake today! Its a lemon teacake with cream cheese icing :cake: I haven’t had any yet because I put it in the fridge to cool and then forgot about it, but I’ll take some to work tomorrow for morning tea!

It was rather cold and overcast today so I spent most of it indoors, rugged up in my fur trimmed capelet and watching Lady Lovely Locks. I recently found the dvd, its a charming series and very nostalgic for me.

For those unfamiliar with it, Lady Lovely Locks is an animation and toy series from the 80’s, it is about a beautiful kingdom ruled by a princess named Lady Lovely Locks and her two close companions Maiden Fairhair and Maiden Curlycrown. The entire world is about hair funnily enough, even the sinister Duchess Ravenwaves is obsessed with it and plots her evil schemes from her castle in Tangleland. I love the simplicity and innocence of the stories, and the artwork from the accompanying books is beautiful.

I also watched The Prince and Me, which I expected to be a rather shallow post-teen movie.. and it was, but it also had enough bittersweet charm for me to thoroughly enjoy it. I loved her fluttering flower petal gown at the coronation ball :crown: and little Princess Arabella was darling! The ending had a rather strange twist too.

This site is being moved to a new host at the moment, so please don’t be alarmed if it dissapears for a short while or some entries seem to be missing, I should have it up and running again soon!

Lady Lovely Locks!! XD I loved that series when I was a kid too…we only had one tape with about 3-4 episodes or so though. But my all time favourite was an animation of The Swan Lake that seems impossible to find anywhere… :/

The Prince and Me is okay, but as I’m a Danish-Norwegian I find it funny that he never speaks in Danish nor can he pronounce his bodyguard’s (I think it was the bodygurad - it’s a long time since I watched that movie) name correctly. But of course that would be expected because the actor isn’t Danish at all! Now on to the real point of this comment. That cape is so lovely, where is it from? I’m dying to have a lolita cape like that for when it gets colder up here in the North!
