Flowers on a Rainy Day

Fresh Flowers It was a blustery day today. :rainy: I rugged up nice and warm for my morning walk but the wind was still quite chilly and they skies dark grey. I recieved my Gothic & Lolita photobook in the mail from Erin, thank you! I was a bit surprised by the content. There’s not very much lolita in it, but mostly Cyber and Goth styles. I did enjoy the few bedroom pictures though, and the last picture is my favourite! It has Parfait’s sister in a really cute lolita room!

I also bought this beautiful bunch of fresh flowers. :flower: I’m not sure what they’re called but they look like frothy white lace and feel like dry silk and smell like spring rain. They really freshen up my bedside and it makes me smile just to look at them, I should buy flowers more often, but it makes me sad to watch them wilt.

The Prince and I spent the afternoon together, we looked for an organizer for him and saw some cute border collie puppies! :dog: I also had time to pick up some groceries and decided to treat myself as I’m feeling a little better now, so I bought fresh Croissants and apricot preserve. There is no better breakfast in my mind than toasted crossiants with jam and a bowl of hot chocolate!

    I’m glad you recieved your book promptly, aren’t their rooms wonderful? I wish my room looked like some of them. Hopefully when I’m done, it will! ^_^ Glad you are feeling better.

    Hmm…I think they are called Chrysanthemums ^^

    Glad to hear you are feeling better! Treating yourself to little wonderful things is great. Once in awhile when we go to town and visit the bookstore I buy myself a cinnamon scone if I have any pocket money. They are delicious and it brightens my day. ^^
    And I think Sofia is right, I believe they are chrysanthemums.

    Is that the new Phaidon book? I saw it in one of the bookshops in Freo and flipped through briefly, but it cost something like $50! There looked to be a fair few lolita photos, but also a lot of photos that were neither gothic nor lolita, so I don’t know what was going on with their photo selection criteria. : / I suspect they wanted to publish another “Fruits” book but were worried it would look too much like the previous ones and not sell well or something? Ah well! ^^;

    That must have been a nasty version of the flu You caught Princess as it seemed to take ages for You to recover from. I hope that is out of the way now and You can enjoy the treats that a winter can offer - wrapping up warm, cosy fires and mulled wine being just three of many.

    My sister offered the Gothic & Lolita photobook few days ago…I’m desapointed because I was really thinking that it would be only with lolita… :/
    But I’m in love with the bedroom picture too,especially the one with the girl called “Marin,13″ I love her bedroom! *_*

    Isabelle: I hope you do ^^ fresh flowers are really uplifting.

    Erin Marie: Thank you for helping me to get it! I would love to see pictures of your room when its done, I bet it will be just as beautiful!

    Sofia: Oh! Thank you. I thought they might be, but I’ve never bought them before. They look like snowballs, I love them.

    Olivia: Oh your cinnamon scones sound delicious! Little things like that are the true pleasures in life, are they not?

    Skwerlie: Yes it is! Erin kindly got me a copy for a much more reasonable price, I think you’re right about their selection criteria, there is a lot of Cyber fashion in here too.

    Nigel: Unfortunately, colds and flus are just one of the things that come along with winter, but I am feeling much better now, thank you!

    Kyu: I loved that picture too! Her bed is so pretty with the canopy. I think your room is very pretty too though!
