Clara invited the Prince and I to join her at the art gallery today for a very special exhibition. We got to wander through several rooms full of egyptian arterfacts brought over from the Louvre. They were truly amazing, the details of the artworks and the fascinating stories behind each piece.
There was a variety of exhibits, from huge sarcophagi and metres of papyrus to tiny jeweled and carved amulets. This is a picture of my favourite, its a Ba amulet from the Ptolemaic Period made of gold inlaid with lapis lazuli and turquoise. It was so tiny and yet detailed and the gold still shone brilliantly
The thing I love best about egyptian art is the wing motifs, though I am also fond of the goddess Neith of whom I was happy to see a tiny statuette.
After the exhibition we all went for bubble tea and I had pudding flavour which was yummy! Tonight the Prince and I are going to a birthday celebration in honour of the Queen. We have a big present for her wrapped in pearl paper and a bunch of everlastings I picked on the way home. I hope she likes them!

Your outing sounds like a lot of fun! I love art galleries, I have not been able to go to one in so long. I need to find a place that sells bubble tea here.

It’s silly, but there’s something about ancient Egyptian things that scare me slightly … I don’t know why, but simply looking at that amulet, as beautiful and golden as it is, gives me the willies. o.o; I wonder if it’s a specific phobia …? It’s very random and crazy, I know. But whenever I see a tomb or a mummy or a Scarrab beetle, or even an Eyptian God, I get freaked out! @_@;

It seems as if you have a lot of lolitas in your home community, whom you call “princes” and the “queen”. That is what I am thinking. Correct me if I am wrong! It also seems to me that you lead an interesting life, princess.

I find anything about Ancient Egypt extremely interesting, and yes, in a way, a little eerie. I suppose that’s only because their lives were lived differently than ours?
I’d like to suggest traveling to Luxor if you’re interested in Ancient Egypt. There are so many place to go to. My favorite was the Valley of The Kings, where you can enter many kings’ tombs!
I also find it very sad that in these days, most of Egypt is merely a huge, scary, dangerous city… Just looking at what we had makes me so surprised…
