A Walk on the Beach

beach1 This evening the Queen and I took a spontaneous trip to the beach :fish: It was warm yet windy and the setting sun was lighting up the sea like a mirror. I love the beach, I think just being near it is refreshing and makes you happy. We buried our toes in the sand and got caught by the waves and watched the seagulls. I took a few photos. When we left my hair was full of salt spray and I felt more relaxed than I had in a long time :sunflower:

We had dinner and went window shopping afterwards. :book: One of the bookstores was open late so we went in and flipped through the pages for a little while. It was a lovely evening.

Your shadow against the water is truly enchanting. You remind me of a mermaid who’s gotten legs to come live on land.

This photo is beautifully amazing!! It actually made my eyes wet because it reminded me a song I learnt when I was a child about Alfonsina Storni, an Argentinian Poet who entered the sea and never came back..
You photo is the way a always imagined her while listening to the song and crying..
Here you can see a photo of her monument in the beach where she died: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Monumento_a_Alfonsina_Storni.jpg
And here you can read an English translation of the song I’m refering to, it’s called “Alfonsina and the Sea”: http://www.jcarreras.homestead.com/ConcertSongs1.html
