Princess Lesson ~ Princess Survival Kit

Princess Survival Kit When a Princess goes out she must be prepared for all eventualities, tucked away in a handbag or purse she carries all those little essentials and treasures that she can never be without.

Today’s lesson is a bit of fun. I have put together a list of items that a princess might like to carry with her, of course this varies with each of us and I would love to hear about the contents of your reticule as well!

:handbag: A Handkerchief, lace or otherwise, embroidered with her initials. For little sneezes and coughs and to offer to a tearful friend or aquaintance.

:handbag: A cardholder, silver or embossed leather perhaps. To hold one’s calling cards and other important pieces of plastic and paper.

:handbag: A small diary or notebook and a pen. For recording her wonderful adventures and whimsical thoughts. Also useful for shopping lists, to do lists and spontaneous poetry.

:handbag: A folding hand fan, lace, bamboo or paper. For cooling oneself on a hot day or in a stuffy room. Also keeps one’s hands busy and can be used for signalling friends and gentlemen.

:handbag: Cosmetics case, containing a little powder, lip gloss, a comb, mirror and a small bottle of perfume at the least. For refreshing oneself and maintaining appearances.

:handbag: A little coin purse, possibly beaded or made of tapestry, with enough change for emergencies and charity.

:handbag: A handful of boiled sweets, mints, candied nuts or small chocolates. To take away a bad taste or keep her from feeling faint. Also nice to be able to offer to a tired or woeful friend.

:handbag: A good book, to relieve moments of bored and transport one far away when life gets a little too tedious. Very useful when one is forced to wait for anything.

:handbag: Gloves. Warm fur trimmed in winter, lace in summer, silk for evenings. Gloves are one of the most elegant accessories and also protect the hands and prevent one from picking up unwanted germs.

:handbag: Sewing kit. Cute little emergency sewing kits are easily found and invaluable in cases of a lost button or loose thread.

Other things this Princess sometimes carries: bubble blower, disney princess bandaids, birdseed, tami-chan, organizer, purikura album, cute stickers, keys, tea bags, purse, compact mirror, camera, pink DS lite and sometimes Milky or Fleur for company!

This lesson is very cute :) A sewing kit is really useful! Another thing I always have with me is a bottle of fresh water, keys and sometimes a tiny paraplu. I am looking for a nice bag to carry all my essentials. Now everything is thrown in a too big bag, making me carry around a lot of weight, which is not very princess-like…

Haha you seemed to have put down almost everything that I carry with me on a regular basis. Except I as well carry a bottle of fresh water. I also carry with me, if I don’t take a journal, a sketch diary just in case I come upon any ideas for outfit designs ^^
I have quite a bit of little purses, but for school I carry a big pale pink tote (to which I stitched flowers and bows upon). It really does come in handy because my schoolbooks are within there as well, and I also carry a nice apple, orange slices,or any other fruit just incase I get hungry in between classes, so I don’t feel faint before it is lunch.

Ah, those are some great ideas in there! I keep meaning to get a few embroidered handkerchiefs, and the sewing kit and sweets would be very useful too.

Also, I’ve been eyeing that tote in black for ages.

When I’m not at school, I carry a small “Magazine Bag” that I purchased at Borders. It’s a canvas tote, not too big and not too small. It has been signed by some artists that I’ve met. Inside of it I have a small kleenex pack, a gold coin/card purse, a blue box with a mirror on the inside that I keep a few ibuprofen/hair ties/hair clips in. I also carry some chapstick, a lip gloss, sunglasses, sunblock, an ipod/mp3 player, a camera, and some cough drops.

At school, I carry a big Barbie bag that is purple & pink. I always have some cough drops, a hair tie/clips, cash, chapstick, a pad, ibuprofen, and a Barbie comb.

Hopefully you can find use in my necessities!
    Much Love,
    Bee

Oh this is just an utterly wonderfull lesson Skye and it’s a lot of help! I wish I had the space to carry things like that with me, I just simply do not have a big enough bag. I have set my eyes on a bag that’s supposed to be for Doll-carrying, but it’s a dollmore rebirth so why not use it for normal things as well? My dolls have enough carrier bags as it is. ^^
    Thank you for these tips!

I recommend carrying an Evian spritzer/face spray in case you get too warm or sweaty. It’s very refreshing, especially for flights.
