Ah, I've always adored dollhouses- I had one when I was a little girl that my dad and I made from a kit, and when I was a bit older (in high school), he and I bought a really large, nice shell with the intention of wiring it for lights and having light fixtures, wallpaper, tiny tiles and carpets, etc. ^^ Sadly it never got further than the beginning of the wiring, becuase my parents split up and my dad moved to another house, I'd like to go back and make a nice dollhouse like that someday, but I don't think I could when we're renting!

If I had the space and the money, I would love to make a semi-dollhouse for Hazel and Clover- just a couple of room boxes- but it would have to be pretty large! I don't know if I'll ever really have a good space to put something like that!

These beautiful doll houses really open up my eyes. It fills me with so much wonder and joy as I look through all of these websites. My favourite is the fairy castle. The descriptions are well done and the detailing is superb!
These miniature houses open a new set of eyes for me, and now I imagine that my own little apartment is also a castle.
Thank you for sharing these!

Bonsoir^-^

I love Dollhouse too. When I was a child my father built one for my Barbie Dolls, whereas he's not a "handy". I was facinated by the dollhouses in the disney movie Mary Poppins and Bedknobs and Broomsticks (L'apprentie sorcière in French.
I love the Dollhouse castle : it's so beautiful and wonderful. I want to live in a such house ! lol There is a picture of Madame de Pompadour !!

bisous princesse !^^

Oh, thank you for this post! I love dollhouses as well!

I have a really large yellow one (ten rooms plus a garden) that my dad made me when I was little. It's so fun to pick out furniture and little goodies for them. It's getting harder and more expensive to find shops though.

I just bought my two year old a small pink one, already assembled and simply furnished! She loves it and takes care of it so well. It'll be fun to pick out unique knick knacks for it when she gets older. :)
