Winter Fashion

Winter Fashion I’m really excited that finally the leaves on the beautiful maple trees in the city are starting to turn brown, because that means winter is on its way. The best thing about Winter, aside from hot chocolate, fireplaces, thunderstorms and fluffy slippers is of course, Winter Fashion!

I tend to buy a lot more clothes in winter, because I love all the layers and soft heavy fabrics and furs, and boots and scarves. Summer fashion is very minamilist, wheras in winter you can wear so much more, from hats and ear muffs to coats and stockings. I’ve been looking through a few of my favourite magazines and deciding what my must haves are for this winter.

:winter: Pom poms! I think these big fluffy balls are the cutest winter trimmings, I want a warm knitted hat with big pom pom tassels, some cute fluffy hair ties and boots or socks with these on too, they bounce when you walk!

:winter: Scarves. You can never have too many, I like thick knitted wool, soft cashmere and houndstooth designs. This year I really want a (faux) rabbit fur scarf, they look so pretty with formal wear aswell.

:winter: Socks and stockings in different prints and patterns. My dream is a pair of grey, white and pink argyle tights, but I’d also like some floral tights and socks with snowflakes on them.

:winter: White! I want to wear lots of white this year, the mainstream fashion colours are so dark as usual. Greys and purples and black black black. I want a cute white coat, white boots and some soft turtleneck sweaters to wear under jumper skirts.

:winter: I am developing a thing for Plaid. I think a plaid skirt will be a must this year, and a plaid scarf too if I can find one in a combination of pink x grey.

Overall I want to go for a more Hime-kei look, combining in some of my lolita clothes for a bit of a mix. I also want a chance to wear my bunny ear muffs! What are you looking forward to in this coming season? If you’re going in to summer are you excited about floral prints and straw hats? Have you got your new season’s wardrobe already planned out?

Ah, I have too many scarves because my grandma loves to make them for me ^-^ I have them in every possible color and fabric.

I’m going in to summer and I can’t wait to wear all my summer clothes again. Especially the dresses I couldn’t wear in winter

As Alina, I am going in to summer and I spend my whole day thinking about my future wardrobe !

I am dreaming of dresses, skirts, hats, flowers, white, ladybird …

But today, it is raining :-(

Here it rains too …. I had very cute earmuffs but I lost them! They’re hard too find unfortunately. Also heading for summer I look forward to the day where I don’t have to wear a coat or thick stockings. And I want to use my cute parasol!

oh, I’m nearly jealous, I always look forward to autumn and winter fashion too, this year I actually found fake-fur ear muffs in claire’s (which only has cheap and ugly things usually) - here it’s just getting spring-y and I’m slowly in the mood for nice country outfits, sweets and flowers

I’m in Southern Africa and we are also headed into winter! To be perfectly honest, winter is a depressing time for me here (I’m originally a northern hemisphere princess!): our cement-block houses are so drafty, public places aren’t heated, you have to contend with goose bumps whilst shaving (grrr!) Your article has reminded me that I need to get some things to cheer me up and keep me warm this winter! I’m especially looking forward to crocheting myself a fuzzy-wuzzy hot water bottle cover! I also hope to find a special teacup/pot, so I can enjoy my tea these next few months, and a few good books too (even though I always spill tea on them, ha ha!)
So fun to hear some fashion thoughts from my half of the world! Great article! ~Danielle Claire

Ah Spring is fading away and Summer is approaching quickly. I plan on skirts, dresses, and actually plenty of plaid bermuda shorts as well (they go well with girly tops) I’m attempting to make my wardrobe a very light and carefree Princess one. (And adding a few Hime-items here and there, cannot have a season without them!)

*laughs* I’d quite foirgotten that your seasons are the reverse of ours, we’ve just began British Summertime! I will, however keep this page in mind for when we get our Winter, this set is just sooo cute!

I want more (faux) furrrr. I want pretty coats, gloves, scarves, earmuffs! I wanted some BABY earmuffs in white.

I love white. It looks so much better than dark colours to me lately as well. Light floral is taking my fancy too, but unfortunately not Craig’s XD
