Ahh my comments do not post very well, I'm sorry! My pevious comment said:
Princess Skye, you always make me feel so much happier. :)
I have been ill for 2 years now (!), and have not be able to go to school for all that time (I have a fatigue illness called M.E.- nothing serious, but it lasts ages and makes anything you do energy-draining). I take plenty of echinacea, that's for sure! :D
And you are so right- being with friends really does make you so much happier! I am always at my brightest and perkiest when with my friends. Afterwards I usually get very tired, but I definately feel so much happier that I got to spend time with them, and know that they care for me. :)

I do hope you are alright. I often wonder what do other Princesses do when they are under the weather...

Zinc, echinacea, and vit. C are all wonderful to fight colds when you get them. Some other things I find to help boost immunity are probiotics (I like Jarrow EPS, and if you can afford it Garden of Life or another brand with Homeostatic Soil Organisms are also very effective, I find) and Modifilan (a brown seaweed extract that boosts the immune system, detoxes the body of heavy metals, and improves the structure of hair and nails!). Of course, a good diet full of nutrition is the best thing you can do for yourself - little to no white flour, white sugar, and processed foods; they are known anti nutrients which rob you of nutrition and depress the immune system.

I know some people think supplementing is a cop-out - just eat healthy, you don't need all those pills. Unfortunately today's food is less nutritious than in the past, and we are barraged with more toxins (poisons in food and products we use, heavy metals and radioactive elements, antibiotics and other drugs in water and food we eat, etc) now then we were in the past as well. I think supplementing has become a necessity to stay healthy and strong these days, along with eating as nutritiously as possible.

It's hard to stay positive when you're bedridden, I have to say I really enjoy brief visits from friends!

Here's to a speedy recovery! I'm sure you'll be feeling great in no time!

I totally agree and try to apply all of this rules, exept for visiting a friend XD I really don't like it when a friend comes to visit me when I am feeling ill.. because most of the time, when I am ill: I look really bad and all I want to do is sleep.. But I think that is a part of my character! I will memorize those other tips and apply them the next time I am feeling ill!

I'm glad you wrote this. I've actually been terribly ill for the past two days. I wish I could follow more of these tips, but being in a small house with 3 people doesn't allow for much comfort.

This is actually very appropriate seeing as I've had a hacking cough and a slightly scratchy throat for about two weeks now.

Get well soon!
