Clear Blue Skies

Behind the North Wind Today, when the sun rose, we had the clearest, bluest sky I have seen in a long time. I went outside, in my slippers and pajamas, teacup in one hand just to marvel at it. I didn’t have long to enjoy though, because it was a busy day for me! :mail: I had a nice long to-do list, the first of which was to pick up some parcels that had arrived in the mail.

The first of these parcels was a lovely gift from Betsy, a friend of mine in the United States. It included two books by George MacDonald, full of delicious fairy tales by this talented author. :book: The one you can see here, Behind the North Wind is a beautiful hard cover edition with delightful coloured illustrations. I also recieved some mix CDs and a sweet letter, I feel truly spoiled by these generous gifts and can’t wait to start reading the books! (I’ve been listening to the CD’s all day.) Thank you so much! The other package, was very much anticipated. It contained a dress I purchased recently which has arrived just in time for the Princess Party this weekend! I want to keep it as a bit of a surprise, but you can see a small part of it in this photo.

Speaking of the Party! In the afternoon I went to pick up some much needed supplies for this Sunday. Including some items that will be used for games and decorating the Palace. I’m really excited about Princess Day, only three more sleeps! :moon:

    From what you’ve said so far it sounds as though your party will be lovely. Since I have no real loli friends, I’ve decided that for Princess Day I want have a nice long bubble bath, take my mother out to try the local tea room, and maybe get my first professional manicure.

    Also, I’m really looking forward to the next Princess Challenge. I loved taking part in the last one, and can’t wait to see what’s in store for May!

    Your party sounds like it will be very fun! I have to prepare also, and think of a nice outfit and lunch I will pack for myself.
    My friends and I are going to probably share our stories with each other this weekend (we all wrote it on paper instead of typed it) So I am really looking forward to it!
