May Princess Challenge

Princess Supplies April is at an end and so is our first Princess Challenge! I’ve recieved some lovely stories from you, and you can find a collection of these on the new Princess Challenge page. If you also completed the challenge and would like your story posted here, please email it to me!

I really enjoyed this task, though my story came out a little different than I had planned. I find that when I write stories, I’m not very good at coming up with a plot and filling it in, but rather I see a few disjointed scenes and the emotions within and then try to tie them together. So when I sit down to write I have no idea where it is going to end, which is exciting and a bit tricky at the same time! I’m working on a drawing to accompany the Lion of Astolat and I hope to upload it soon.

May 2008 Princess Challenge
(if this is your first challenge, please read the original post here)

Your task this month is to find a little bit of beauty in every day. You can write about it, take photos, draw or record these beautiful things in a blog or journal. They can be anything from a little flower growing through the pavement to an act of great kindness that you witnessed. Each day, for a whole month, find something beautiful in the world around you.

I look forward to seeing what you discover!

This new challenge is great!! :) I’m not saying the previous one wasn’t (actually it would have helped me to get to write again), but this one really inspires me right now. It would be good for me to look for beauty each day. :) If I accept it it would probably mainly be pictures on my Flickr. Or maybe it would force me to write again in my LJ. Can it be also a feeling that we have, an atmosphere or other personal things (don’t know how to describe those)? Those may not really be beauty but more good/positive things of the day. Can it be considered beauty?

I should like to try that. I’m going to make a calendar in my LJ and fill it with a clickable thumbnail or link to a picture I take everyday, or a blog entry I write if something beautiful or inspirational happens.

This is probably going to be harder than I think XD

Oh, this sounds like fun. ^^ I’m not very good at doing something religiously every day (other than brushing and flossing lol) but I will try my best.

lholy-chan - Yes, it can be any thing and does not have to be an object, but a feeling or thought.

Everyone - Even if you don’t do it every day, try at least to do it every second day, just jot down a little note or take a quick picture. I hope that it will not be too difficult a task.

This one is lovely! I would definitely like to try that. This is actually easy- I ride a 2-hour bus twice a day, except on weekends where I go to ballet class. I’m always looking out the window- I’m bound to see something! Thank you so much Princess Skye.

  6. Shell Says:

Oh I will def. participate in this one!

This sounds so cute! I will partake in this challenge. (sorry I didn’t send you my story for the last challenge, I will have to type it up in my spare time T.T)

Thanks for your answer. ^^ I have to write my “beauty moments” for the begining of the month then. This will help revive my journal. :)
