Dinner Parties and Dark Knights

Gothic Style for Dark Knight I had a fantastic weekend, although it was very busy and I feel a little tired rather than refreshed for the new week. On Friday night I went out for Pancakes with some friends including Jill who just got back from Singapore! It was great to see everyone and the pancakes were delicious, especially the apple and cinnamon ones we had for dessert!

Saturday was a big day for me, I went shopping with Steph in the morning at the craft store and picked up some supplies for a little project and some embroidery thread. Steph wanted to head home for lunch so she kindly dropped me in the city where I had hot bubble tea and my favourite curry bread and met Doug for some present shopping. We were both going to a birthday dinner party and the hostess is an artist so we wanted to get her a nice set of Prismacolours but the art supplies stores closed at 1pm! We had a bit of an adventure tracking down other suppliers and eventually drove to another suburb to pick some up.

The dinner party itself was lovely, Sheena is such a sweet girl and it was nice to celebrate with her. She cooked us all a delicious three course meal with vegetarian lasagne, roast vegetables and lamb and a big rich chocolate cake. We were all so full afterwards we could hardly move! It was a small group of people which was nice because we could talk a lot and we ended up playing Singstar until late although I was tired and fell asleep on the couch.

Today I went with some friends to see the new Batman movie, The Dark Knight. I’m not usually very interested in superhero films but I really enjoyed Batman Begins and so decided to see this one as well. We actually went to a double screening and watched Batman Begins before the Dark Knight so it was a long afternoon! I liked the new film, but not as much as the previous one, it seemed very long. When we finally got out of the cinemas we all had a yummy dinner.

I felt like wearing something a bit different today, since sweet lolita didn’t seem very appropriate for watching a Batman film I decided to drag out some of my old EGA (Elegant Gothic Aristocrat) pieces and put together this outfit. Its been a long time since I wore this much black but its always fun to play around with different styles, I love this skirt too.

I have a busy week ahead of me but I’m really looking forward to it. I hope you all enjoyed your weekends!

I haven’t seen the new Batman movie but I really want to ):
It’s annoying but the good movies tend to come out late in german cinemas…
