I recieved some really delicious looking recipes for July’s challenge, and they’re all up on the Challenge Page now so go check them out! I can’t wait to try a few myself. If you also completed the July challenge and would like to send yours in, please email them to me. I’m really happy with how my Madeleines worked out, I took them to a party where they were all eaten up!
August 2008 Princess Challenge
(if this is your first challenge, please read the original post here)
This month we’re going to partake in a the Arts and find a little inspiration in the beauty of music, theatre or dance. The challenge is to get out there and see a show! I will leave it entirely up to your tastes as to what you see. Whether its Ballet, Opera, a Play, a Symphony, a Musical or Concert. It doesn’t have to be classical either, you can go see a rock concert or broadway musical. Look up your local performing arts venues and see what they have on, grab a friend or two and make a night of it! If time and money does not permit this, find another way to enjoy the arts. Watch a movie, opera or ballet on dvd, or even go in to town to enjoy the buskers or street performers on the weekend. Write a little about your experience so we can all share the inspiration and beauty you found.

I would’ve gone to three concerts this month if my money had allowed it.. But I’m saving up for a trip to Paris in November so I can see my absolute most favourite band ever.
Well, I’m going to play in a small live myself. Does that count?
Ooh, this will be easy for me since I’m going to a concert with a friend on thursday, yay!
Oh! This is gonna be easy for me too, since I’m heading off to a Def Leppard concert on Wednesday. XD
Hmmm… If I had the courage to ask my parents for USD$80, I’d go to my first metal music festival… x3 But I have to prepare for college, so…
But I certainly will keep my eyes peeled for some good live entertainment! :3
Oh, how much I’ll enjoy doing this challenge. I’m dying to go to an orchestra~
By the way, I’m making all the Princess challenges! I can’t cook, but I’ll try :3
Also, you know about May’s challenge. Instead of doing it for the month, I’ll write down everything since today and make it at least for a year! Once the twelve months have already passed, I will be used to write everything down… but I’ll send you my beautiful things in a separate e-mail. Be prepared! ^o^
Hmm. I think I may have to opt for the “stay at home” version of this, since I have little funds, little time, I can’t drive and there’s nothing I really want to going on right now. But who knows, maybe something will come up!
I am unsure as to whether or not I can partake in a “Princess Challenge,” as I fear chromosomes will forever prevent me from being a princess
Regardless, I will make every effort to attend the West Australian Symphony Orchestra performing At The Movies this Friday, Y-chromosome be damned!
Mmm, this might be a little difficult for me. Very little funds, little time this month, and above all, living in Japan… ^^; I can never figure out what is going on around me or in Tokyo. I might try the DVD version, although it’s not as nice as going to see something for real.
By the way, did you see my post on my LJ about July Princess challenge?
What a great idea!
Well this is a wonderful idea. It’s impossible for me to get to a concert or such like that though.I live in a small town and I can’t get to a place where I could. I might watch a play or movie here at home though.
I think I’ll try to see either the Opera or a Play perhaps!
I have never been to a sort of thing, (I’m actually going to my first concert in October, seeing a band that has an old classical flair mixed with modern pop!)
I didn´t know of this challenge, because I was in Russia the last four weeks, but I was in Swan Lake in St. Petersburg. What a coincidence XD
