Petit Miel Update ~ Cherry Polka Headbow
Thursday, March 13th, 2008
I’m very excited to have just listed my first One-off design for Petit Miel!
This Cherry Polka Headbow is made from cute red polka dot grosgrain ribbon and decorated with pearls and cotton lace. It was nice to be able to spend a little more time on this one, adding details such as little pearl beads sewn to the bow shaped lace. As with all the One-Off pieces I will be making, this design will not be repeated which makes it a bit more special I think
I have been sketching up some more designs for items, including some small rings and bow barettes. However I would love to know what you would like to see in the Petit Miel boutique! Different colours? More jewelry or hair accessories? Something with flowers or jewels or sweets designs? Please post your suggestions and requests! I would love to create your dream accessories

with pearls and bows. There will be some pretty hair accessories coming later this week!
Unfortunately the strawberries don’t fit this category but I reduced the packaging to bring the price down a little. All items are shipped in a sealed, bubble wrap lined parcel envelope.
for every dollar you spend at Petit Miel you recieve 1 Honey Point, Honey Points will earn you free gifts with you orders when you reach a certain amount. All points are recorded in a database next to your etsy username and can not be used by any other account. I hope you will enjoy these little rewards as a thank you for supporting my store!

I have been very busily baking away at the Petit Miel Pâtisserie here, and I am happy to announce that the first few items will be ready for sale by next weekend!
Thank you to everyone who has helped, supported and inspired me with Petit Miel so far! I really appreciate your interest in my little shop.
I was looking up at some of the beautiful old buildings that are no longer used and thinking what a pity it is. In the city here, there are shops on the ground floor of most of the buildings but the old facades are still above and most of the upper floors are empty. I’ve actually been up in to one of the abandoned hotels and it was quite spooky, but beautiful in a derelict kind of way.
I would love to take photos there.

Here you can see some more results of my labour, two pairs of fabric and ribbon hair bows with pearl tips. I think there will only ever be two pairs of these because they are a pain to make! Consider them a limited edition
I have to get up early and dress and do my hair and then hurry off to set up the stall, hand out fliers to the que, run the Japanese Fashion panel with Skwerlie and then help Eugene out at the cosplay registration desk. Its going to be a full weekend! You probably won’t hear from me until it is over, but expect lots of photos!

until the convention and I realised if I wanted to have enough things to sell I better buy some more supplies!
I had to walk about 15 minutes to the station, it was a beautiful day so I didn’t mind very much. Then I caught the train to the station closest to where I needed to go, and from there the bus to the craft store. I think I probably could have walked that distance but I wasn’t sure how long it would take. I was reading Shimotsuma Monogatari (Kamikaze Girls) on the bus and felt just like Momoko, catching the train all the way to Daikanyama to visit the BABY the stars shine bright boutique
