Slipper and the Rose I spent this morning relaxing in the cooler weather we’ve been blessed with and watching an old favourite of mine. “The Slipper and the Rose” is a classic rendition of Cinderella, with beautiful costumes and sets and some amusing and charming songs. :music:

I remember watching it when I was very little, and making my parents get it out again and again from the video store. The scene thats sticks in my memory most is at the end, with Cinderella on the swing that has roses climbing down the ropes in that beautiful garden :flower: I really reccomend this movie to anyone who loves fairy tales, royalty and Rococo costumes :sparkle:

Key chainI was a little spoilt on the weekend with presents from lovely generous people. I’m not used to getting presents outside of birthdays and christmas because it didn’t really happen in my family, so I really feel lucky when others take the time to bring me something little :present:

On Saturday Steph brought me some cute Cinnamoroll Stationary from Japan and a little Hello Kitty as Gold Lolita keychain, which I’ve added to my key ring because it matches perfectly! Thank you so much Steph! :sparkle:

Cinnamoroll Stationary

On Sunday Tahlia gave me this adorable little box with a clever lid that closes to form a heart, inside was a pretty necklace shaped like a bow and set with tiny crystals! I adore it ^^ Thank you sweetie! :hearttwo:

Tahlia's Gift

Speaking of presents I have to finish putting together some penpal swap letters and post them off, I really want to get some Marie and Disney Princesses letter sets :shoe: I’m working on the gallery section of PP today. Please check back soon!

PurikuraAfter tea we all went for a walk down Beaufort street, the store we wanted to visit  Heart and Home  was closed unfortunately. We did find this gorgeous furniture store with Louis XIV style reproductions and beautiful glittering chandeliers :sparkle: We took some pictures in the store but they didn’t come out very well due to the lighting. Later we visited some curio stores and bought fans and shoes, one of the store owner’s loved our style and called me “Alice in Wonderland.” ^^

Tonight after taking Tiffy home we all went out for dinner and Karaoke. I arrived late and missed the Karaoke but still ahd dinner with everyone at a vegetarian (chinese?) place. I Don’t like chinese food much, but I had Rose Bubble Tea with my meal which is my favourite :cocktail: After dinner we had a game of Laser Tag, even though my team came last I was the no. 5 player out of 11! I’m quite happy with my score as it was my first time playing it.

A little tired after Laser Tag we stopped to buy icecream before heading to the gaming arcade to take Purikura and play DDR. The Purikura here is on the new machine, it has such cute stamps and frames! I like the one where we are all wearing crowns, and the swan frame where we’re blowing kisses. It was a lovely way to end the day :tiara:

High TeaWe arrived at the Leaf Tea Merchant a few minutes late, but it was ok because Clara and her friends had already arrived to get our reservation. When everyone was there (except for Cesca who was running a bit late) we ordered our Teas. Tiffy and I had herbal joy, which is a lemon balm based tea with strawberry leaves and rose petals :coffee: It tasted lovely and left us in a cheery mood.

We all “oohed” and “aahed” when the platters were brought out. There was so much beautiful food! I shared a tier with Mirai and Clara (though there was more than even we could polish off.) We nibbled our way from the bottom up. The first level were tiny tea sandwiches, cucumber, chicken and curry flavoured. The next level had the most divine petit quiches with fennel and herbs as well as some little pies. The next layer was overflowing with cakes, ginger and lemon and chocolate and strawberry and sponge :cake: Some were shaped like little hearts with pink icing. The very top tray had strawberries dipped in chocolate :strawberry: perfectly soft turkish delight, dark chocolate hearts and fortune cookies! My fortune was “You’re the centre of attention” which seemed a bit strange. The whole arrangement was scattered with yellow and pink rose petals :flower:

one two three...This morning we got up early to begin the long process of preparing for High Tea. I ate a light breakfast of fresh peaches and whipped cream and then spent some time deciding what to wear. In the end I chose a practical outfit, my Pink Cake Applique OP and platform shoes :hearttwo: Although anything was bound to be hot on a day like this. I then had to iron it (ironing dresses with inbuilt panniers is a feat in itself) and get dressed.

Mirai left to pick up Tiffy and when she returned we all hurried to get ready… curling hair, adjusting bows  touching up our makeup :lipstick: We had time to pose for a quick shot before we hurried off to the Leaf for our High Tea:!:

mini sconesThis weekend, lovers of lolita fashion are meeting up all over the country. I spent this morning cleaning the house and preparing for our visitors. Steph was the first to arrive and after Mirai got home we went out grocery shopping in our frilly best. Steph came along to supervise and take silly photos of us :camera:

The first thing we made was mini-scones, using a very simple recipe we experimented with cutting some in heart shapes and they came out so cute! :hearttwo: Although you can’t see them very well in this picture. We had fun baking and dancing to Hazel Nuts Chocolate :softserve: which is perfect cooking music ^^

The scones were ready and served on my new platter with whipped cream and strawberry jam :strawberry: We also had some lolipops, chips and cream biscuits. Cesca and Sheena turned up a little later and we sat down to enjoy some anime, including Nishi no yoki majo, Sugar Sugar Rune and Princess Tutu :shoe: I want to finish watching the latter, its such a cute series (and I love ballet)

TamiI am writing this with on-screen keypad because my keyboard broke :tears: it is quite tedious to type like this. Yesterday was very hot and I was sick, it is nasty having a cold in the middle of summer, but I’m feeling a little better today. I want to introduce you to my new baby :keitai: her name is Tami and she is a LG KG220, in pink of course. She looks a bit plain now but I ordered some pretty straps and crystals to decorate her. Soon she will be a perfect princess phone! :heartsmall: :heartsmall:

Today is “Australia Day” which means a lot of people go watch fireworks :firework: and get drunk. I don’t like big crowds and rowdy people though, so I will stay home in the air conditioning and watch them on tv while eating a big bowl of icecream :icecream: Tomorrow is the start of a very fun weekend! The girls are coming over for a casual meetup, anime, movies and silly photos. On sunday we’re going to the Leaf for high tea! I hope I’m feeling all better by then :cat:

Bunny Socks I spent today quietly at home. Last night we went out for dinner (I had garlic prawns with peaches and risotto followed by a strawberry fruitcake with baileys cream :cake: ) and then briefly went to the Casino, which I always find dull and tacky. However we stayed up rather late playing Trivial Pursuit with some of the Prince’s friends :crown:

I really want to make a bunny themed coordinate! :rabbit: I just bought these Angelic Pretty socks and now need the rest of the outfit. Does that seem strange? To buy an entire outfit to match a pair of socks? I saw a matching skirt, but I think I’d really prefer a jumper skirt as I have so many skirts already. I can’t wait to get my Bunny pochette from BABY! Pink bunnies are love. :hearttwo:

GorgeousI decided today that I should go out. The weather was beautiful, sunny and bright but with a light breeze. I was actually a little chilled walking from the house in the morning. I took the train to Fremantle :train: which is a little portside suburb with a cafe strip and lots of interesting shops as well as markets on the weekend :clover:

Today they even had street markets with performers and lots of cute little stores. I smelled some of the most beautiful rose :flower: scented soap and bought myself a slice of Lemon Meringue (homebaked in the Chilean style!) which was creamy and delicious :cake: I also visted the Fairy shop which has lots of cute little things, but not much for Princesses. They play the most awful music everytime I go in there :music:

Of course no trip to Freo would be complete without a trip to Store, my favourite little boutique that stocks an assortment of strange and wonderful little trinkets. They have a lot of Lisbeth Dahl products, and parasols and toys and soaps shaped like powdered wigs :bow: I bought a little card holder with “Gorgeous” written on it, it wasn’t such a frivolous purchase really.. I have a lot of cards ^^;

Also my Innocent World Apron arrived today! Its so cute, it has a heart shaped pocket with a little bow and the ties at the back are scalloped. I can’t wait to wear it next time I do baking :moon:

Sweet SurpriseToday is the start of my weekend, two days off in the middle of the week to do as I please with. This morning I went to the library to return some books and get out one I had on hold :book: It is “Versailles: A Novel” by Kathryn Davis and it looks to be a beautiful read. I also took a trip to the Post office to pick up a parcel from Abbie-chan :present: It came in a big white box with a cute Teddy Bear label. When I arrived home I couldn’t wait to open it! Inside was a sweet little box with snow scenes printed on it and an envelope :winter:
