Princess Day Planning

occitane.jpgWork has been rather tiring and stressful of late, however, today was a little slower so I spent my shift daydreaming and planning my next Princess Day.

A Princess Day :tiara: for those not familiar with the concept, is a day entirely devoted to pampering and pleasing oneself. It is a day where all responisibilities, all worries and cares are put aside and a Princess sets out to enjoy herself as best she can and treat herself to all those luxuries she may not be able to indulge in on a daily basis.

I think I’m due for another Princess Day in a week or two. I am planning to visit the hills of Perth, where my Mother lives. They are really quite quaint, full of little boutiques, antique stores and cafes. I just recieved a gift card for my favourite hair salon there, so I think I shall get my hair cut. If I feel like a little extra pampering I might organize a manicure too, my poor nails deserve it. Lunch will have to be at the little Pâtisserie in the heart of town, the one that makes the most delicious herb bread and Petits gâteaux :cake:

Then of course I must visit the english sweets store and buy a bag of strawberry humbugs (my favourite) and probably spend a good hour in the little boutiques, most likely coming home with some L’occitane cosmetics. I really love the little stories they have for their different ranges, such as “Eau des 4 Reines” which goes thus;

Many years ago, the Count of the Provencal town of Forcalquier had four daughters and each married a king. Thus, the sisters Marguerite, Eleonore, Sancie and Beatrix came to be the Four Queens of Forcalquier. The sisters had a passion for roses, and each had her favourite; L’Occitane’s new fragrance, Eau des 4 Reines, is a blend of the roses’ scents, creating a beautifully fresh, delicate, velvety fragrance with muted hints of fruit. :flower:

I am so looking forward to my next Princess Day.
