Happy Birthday Prince!
Tuesday, March 20th, 2007
Today we celebrated the Prince’s Birthday! I made breakfast in bed, ham and cheese Croissants which he likes
For his birthday I gave him a black wool coat in the Military style that he has wanted for some time, his other gift has yet to arrive.
As it was his birthday he got to choose our activities for the day. So first we went car shopping. We looked at a fancy Porsche replica that he likes, it is a very old design but quite classy. You can see a picture of it here. At another car store he got to test drive a big 4wd and Mirai and I sat in their pleasant lobby and drank tea and coffee
After the car stores we went to the city for lunch, and tried a new japanese restaurant which was delicious! It is rare to find good japanese food in Perth and we voted this one of the best yet
The rest of the afternoon was spent window shopping. I tried on these gorgeous Mollini boots! They are ivory kid leather and look so victorian! I love them, I want to wear them with a pink coat and white stockings. I wish I could share a picture of the Prince in his new coat instead, but he is a little camera shy ^_~ I’m happy that he enjoyed himself today.

I had some pretty things come in the mail today. A Metamorphose pannier which is lovely and soft, so much more comfortable than my itchy tulle one (also, it was shipped so fast! I can’t believe its already here!) and my Sweets Country socks! Don’t they look cute on my new cupcake bedspread? I hope to someday have the Sweets Country OP or Jsk to go with these!
I have a special present for him, which I think he’ll like, and we’re going to have lunch in town and spend the day together. He does not tend to celebrate the day much, but we might hold a little party for him later on. Easter is coming soon and I have been buying fresh Hot Cross Buns from our local bakery which are delicious! I would love to have an easter party with the girls but I think it might be hard to arrange on the holiday itself. I grew up with easter egg hunts every year and its a tradition I’d like to continue. I’m going to buy some miniature eggs for Miss Charlotte as well
this is a little annoying as a friend is selling a different version of the Swan Lake jsk that I would really like to aquire. Its one of my favourite prints ever, I have such a fascination for anything to do with ballet, and in particular swan lake. It is
I hope it will look lovely with my MA dress, but I shall have to wait until it arrives to see which looks best. I also bought a large gold pendant that looks like a royal seal. It came on a yucky chain but I replaced that with some velvet ribbon which makes it so much prettier.
It was a fun night out though. I hope to do it again soon.
its very interesting, I admit I’ve always found it hard to appreciate the maĆ®tresse en titre but she was a very clever, resourceful woman and quite cultured and refined. She seems more serious and concerned with politics than Du Barry and Marie Antoinette.
BABY has just released news of their new collaboration doll with Volks (volks is the company that made Miss Charlotte.) Her name is Luna and she’s an SD, that means she’s about 60cm tall, much bigger than Miss Charlotte. Her outfit is a perfect miniature copy of the Cinderella One Piece, complete with matching hair accessories, socks, shoes and a sceptre! Somehow all those royal ruffles and lace details seem even more exquisite in this petite form. As with most Volks dolls however, she is both expensive and a limited edition.

I’d like to buy the BABY pearl choker pictured here, but its a bit expensive so I might try to find something similar in town. I am trying to think of a suitable location for a photoshoot, I think maybe some nice gardens with hedges and the like.. or possibly inside His Majesty’s Theatre which is very grand. It is a very happy day for this Princess!
