Happy Birthday Prince!

Tuesday, March 20th, 2007

Napolean Boot Today we celebrated the Prince’s Birthday! I made breakfast in bed, ham and cheese Croissants which he likes :hearttwo: For his birthday I gave him a black wool coat in the Military style that he has wanted for some time, his other gift has yet to arrive.

As it was his birthday he got to choose our activities for the day. So first we went car shopping. We looked at a fancy Porsche replica that he likes, it is a very old design but quite classy. You can see a picture of it here. At another car store he got to test drive a big 4wd and Mirai and I sat in their pleasant lobby and drank tea and coffee :coffee:

After the car stores we went to the city for lunch, and tried a new japanese restaurant which was delicious! It is rare to find good japanese food in Perth and we voted this one of the best yet :onigiri: The rest of the afternoon was spent window shopping. I tried on these gorgeous Mollini boots! They are ivory kid leather and look so victorian! I love them, I want to wear them with a pink coat and white stockings. I wish I could share a picture of the Prince in his new coat instead, but he is a little camera shy ^_~ I’m happy that he enjoyed himself today.

Cute as Cupcakes

Monday, March 19th, 2007

Cute as Cupcakes I was called in to work today, I don’t usually work mondays but I don’t mind too much. It was nice to be in the airconditioning because it is so hot still! I really hope we get some rain and cooler weather soon :rainy: I had some pretty things come in the mail today. A Metamorphose pannier which is lovely and soft, so much more comfortable than my itchy tulle one (also, it was shipped so fast! I can’t believe its already here!) and my Sweets Country socks! Don’t they look cute on my new cupcake bedspread? I hope to someday have the Sweets Country OP or Jsk to go with these!

Tomorrow is the Prince’s birthday! :crown: I have a special present for him, which I think he’ll like, and we’re going to have lunch in town and spend the day together. He does not tend to celebrate the day much, but we might hold a little party for him later on. Easter is coming soon and I have been buying fresh Hot Cross Buns from our local bakery which are delicious! I would love to have an easter party with the girls but I think it might be hard to arrange on the holiday itself. I grew up with easter egg hunts every year and its a tradition I’d like to continue. I’m going to buy some miniature eggs for Miss Charlotte as well :hearttwo:

Miss Charlotte’s new Dress

Friday, March 16th, 2007

Pink PinaforeMiss Charlotte recieved a beautiful new dress today! It was a gift from mk13 for some of the modeling work Miss Charlotte has been doing for her. It’s so pretty! I love the pintucks and the little lace details as well as the summery country design. Miss Charlotte seems pleased to have a new addition to her wardrobe

Sadly, I’m still waiting on payment from some of the people who bought clothes from me :grr: this is a little annoying as a friend is selling a different version of the Swan Lake jsk that I would really like to aquire. Its one of my favourite prints ever, I have such a fascination for anything to do with ballet, and in particular swan lake. It is this jsk in the blue/white colouration *sigh* perhaps it is silly to want the same print in two different colours/styles but alas I am addicted to these looping rococo panels, can’t you tell? ^_~

Girls night out

Thursday, March 15th, 2007

Royal Jewels This evening I went out for dinner and a bit of shopping with Mirai and Skwerlie. Shopping with Lolitas is fun because we all get excited over the same things :hearttwo: anything with bows or hearts or cupcakes or simply pink usually does it. We mostly wandered in and out of various stores, looking at whatever caught our fancy and buying a few little trinkets along the way. Skwerlie bought some cute accessories, and Mirai found a Hello Kitty dinnerware set. I bought an adorable bedspread (pictures coming soon) and some jewelry! Best of all I found a three strand pearl choker very similar to the one I wanted from BABY :sparkle: I hope it will look lovely with my MA dress, but I shall have to wait until it arrives to see which looks best. I also bought a large gold pendant that looks like a royal seal. It came on a yucky chain but I replaced that with some velvet ribbon which makes it so much prettier.

We had dinner at an american-style diner, but I didn’t think much of my meal. I should have just ordered pancakes or something sweet :cake: It was a fun night out though. I hope to do it again soon.

Angelic Parcels

Wednesday, March 14th, 2007

Angelic Parcel I had two special parcels arrive today! Both held items from Angelic Pretty. The first a pair of socks with a pretty lace up design (they look so cute on!) and the second a little head bow with a cute white pom pom! I really wanted this headbow to match my bunny socks and winter coat.

I spent a lot of today writing the charter for the new west australian lolita club. I think its going to be a lot of fun and I already have some ideas for events. If only we could decide on a name!

I’ve also started reading a biography on Madame de Pompadour :book: its very interesting, I admit I’ve always found it hard to appreciate the maĆ®tresse en titre but she was a very clever, resourceful woman and quite cultured and refined. She seems more serious and concerned with politics than Du Barry and Marie Antoinette.

BABY’s little princess Luna

Tuesday, March 13th, 2007

Luna I’m so excited! :star: BABY has just released news of their new collaboration doll with Volks (volks is the company that made Miss Charlotte.) Her name is Luna and she’s an SD, that means she’s about 60cm tall, much bigger than Miss Charlotte. Her outfit is a perfect miniature copy of the Cinderella One Piece, complete with matching hair accessories, socks, shoes and a sceptre! Somehow all those royal ruffles and lace details seem even more exquisite in this petite form. As with most Volks dolls however, she is both expensive and a limited edition.

Today I made a trip in to town to pick up my Marie Antoinette poster from the Cinema. They saved one just for me and its HUGE! It takes up the entire back of my door. I also went looking for a crown pendant for my pearl choker, but found none the right size and colour :crown: I had to buy an icecream on the way home, it was so hot! Parfait is dissapointed she didn’t get to share it :icecream:

Pretty Pearls and Purses

Monday, March 12th, 2007

Metamorphose Swan Emblem PurseHere is my lovely Metamorphose temps de fille purse. It’s white with a lovely gold metal emblem featuring their twin swan crest. I’m so happy it arrived after nearly 3 weeks since it was sent! I am usually not a huge fan of Metamorphose clothing, however they make lovely accessories such as this purse and the matching handbag which I have on order. The gold is so very royal :tiara:

I spent much of this afternoon working on the jewelry craft project for which I purchased pearls this morning. The first item I made is a pearl bracelet. I threaded 16 large white pearls onto some elastic, and finished it with a pretty pink velvet ribbon bow  It slides easily over my hand and looks cute with all the pink and white in my wardrobe.

I made a choker specifically to match the Marie Antoinette One Piece I have coming from BABY. The pearls are smaller and icory in colour, and it ties at the back of my neck with royal blue velvet ribbon. I added a small ivory heart crystal though I may later change this to a gold crown pendant if I find one I like. It looks much prettier in person :sparkle: Please read more to see pictures of both items!

A busy morning

Monday, March 12th, 2007

Parfait and the PrincessThis morning Mirai-chan and I decided to visit the craft store as they were having a 20% of sale. We got up early, I dressed in my AP bow skirt and my BABY blouse and brought Parfait along to carry my things  The store was very busy! We had to wait in line for ages and took turns to go fetch things for Mirai’s sewing project. I chose some pretty glass pearls to make jewelry with. I plan to make a white pearl bracelet with a pink velvet bow and an ivory pearl choker with a glass heart pendant and royal blue ribbon ties, it will match my Marie Antoinette dress until I can find a three tier choker :sparkle:

When we arrived home, my new purse had arrived! I bought it several weeks ago and had begun to worry it had been lost in the mail. Fortunately it arrived safely, I will take photos of it later today! Now I’m going to go bake chocolate chip and toffee cookies ^_^

Princess Dinnerware

Friday, March 9th, 2007

Disney Princess PlatesI spent most of today running errands. I went to the Library, where I returned some books and borrowed some new ones. In particular I found a story about Marie Antoinette, it is actually written for children but the illustrations are very sweet and with such pretty dresses! I might have to scan them later. :sparkle:

I also went looking for some new work clothes, and gifts for friend’s who’s birthday’s are coming up :cake: including the Prince! There are so many birthdays in March it seems. It wasn’t a very successful shop, but I did pick up this cute Disney Princess Dinnerware set! It has a little heart shaped plate, a tiny heart shaped bowl and a cup. I want to make yummy deserts and eat them off these cute plates!

You might notice a new page on Princess Portal. My wish list is up, its full of pretty clothes, jewelry, toys and books on Lolita and Fairy tales. Please have a look. Tonight I don’t work so I am going to have dinner in town with the Prince! :crown:

Marie Antoinette Dress - Success!

Thursday, March 8th, 2007

Click for full imageI’ve just recieved very good news! My order for the Marie Antoinette One Piece in royal blue was accepted! :hearttwo: I’m so happy, as it sold out on the website today so mine must have been one of the very last sold! I was so nervous because they replied earlier today and said they had accepted my order for the dress in black, which was a mistake because I of course asked for the blue. So I had to wait and see if they’d held one for me in the right colour, and I was very concerned. All is good though! The dress will probably be shipped mid next week, I can’t wait! :sparkle:

This picture is from kera shop, it shows the dress with a very pretty co-ordinate. I think I will do something similar. I have off white stockings already, and I can wear my Rose Chocolate shoes :shoe: I’d like to buy the BABY pearl choker pictured here, but its a bit expensive so I might try to find something similar in town. I am trying to think of a suitable location for a photoshoot, I think maybe some nice gardens with hedges and the like.. or possibly inside His Majesty’s Theatre which is very grand. It is a very happy day for this Princess! :star:
