Easter has been very busy for this Princess.
Unfortunately in Australia, while we have a holiday on good friday and easter monday, the saturday and sunday are not holidays and thus I had to work. Today was lovely though, the weather was sweet and cool, with warm sunlight and clear skies. A perfect autumn day.
I spent the morning relaxing with the Prince, before we decided to visit the Markets, one of those few places still open today. We browsed endless stores of bric-a-brac, the air was heavy with the scent of fresh fruit and cut flowers, and I very nearly bought a potted miniature rose
In one of the market’s there is a sweets store we sampled some old fashioned candy and bought a little to eat as we walked. I saw some lovely handmade jewelry and spent a while in a little antique dealer looking at mirrors and tapestries and tea cups. For lunch we enjoyed waffles with syrup and ice cream! Not very healthy, but delicious none the less.
It was a lovely way to spend easter, though sadly I did not have time for the easter photos I wished to take so they shall have to come a little late. Parfait and Éclair wish you a very happy easter, as they enjoy their chocolate eggs!

The rest of the day was spent replying to emails, grocery shopping and watching Sense and Sensibility, which was a lovely adaption! I have such a weakness for Jane Austen, although my favourite is Emma.

they were quite adorable, though personally I would love to adopt a smaller dog, such as a miniature poodle. We had lunch together, and then returned to the palace where Mirai and I had a mission ahead of us!
I hope she is having a wonderful night! I really wish there were more balls held around here, I have heard in Vienna they still have a ball season and it is quite fashionable for young people to learn the waltzes and attend in their finest gowns. I quite envy the Viennese!
I am reading “Milady Charlotte” by Jean Plaidy, one of my favourite historical fiction writers (her Madame Du Barry is a treasure!)
