Yesterday was busy, yet enjoyable for me. I rose early and worked for the most of the day, but then in the afternoon the Queen and I decided to go see the sunset at our beach. Beaches here are very busy places, wherever you go there is row apon row of foot prints dotting the sands, people out in the waves even in the middle of winter and sadly, a lot of litter aswell.

However a few years back my Mother and I discovered our beach, its very small, just a little cove surrounded by sharp rocks with soft white sand and a sprinkling of shells washed up by the tide. We had to climb down to get to it, and then took our shoes off and stood on the hard wet sand as the chill waves washed around our ankles.

The sunset was very beautiful actually, we expected not to see much because of the heavy bank of clouds on the horizion, however just as the sun kissed the ocean there was this glorious beam of light that streched out across the still water and lit the clouds on fire. It lasted only for a moment, but was in some ways even more beautiful that a sunset in a clear sky. I managed to snap a photo to share it with you!

After the beach, feeling much refreshed and invigorated, I had dinner with the Queen before heading out to meet some friends at Karaoke. I’m afraid to say I stayed up quite a bit later than I intended, but it was such a fun way to end the day, I love the atmosphere and being surrounded by friends.
