It is warm today, but there is a wind outside howling past the palace windows. There isn’t a cloud in the sky and I am happily scribbling away at my sketchbook and listening to some old songs
from movies and musicals. Miss Charlotte is watching, comfortably perched on her new chair with her feet resting on a pillow. I changed her in to her pretty pink summer frock
I love drawing but I don’t do it very often because I find it hard to just sit down and draw something. There has to be an idea, usually a nameless emotion or expression I want to capture on paper. It frustrates me sometimes because I never can quite get it to appear exactly as it is in my mind.
At the moment I am thinking about wishes and dreams and trying to draw a little of that inner longing for something.
When you’re fast asleep
In dreams you will lose your heartaches
Whatever you wish for, you keep
Have faith in your dreams and someday
Your rainbow will come smiling through
No matter how your heart is grieving
If you keep on believing
the dream that you wish will come true
- Disney’s Cinderella

Aww, what a cute drawing!! You really should try to take the chance to draw more if you enjoy it =3. It can be very relaxing sometimes!

The girl is so adorable and innocent looking! Don’t fret, for I’m in the same boat as you; I love to draw but must must MUST have motivation to actually take the time to sit still.
Dreams and Wishes are and probably will always be my favorite subject, I’m such a day-dreamer!
Lovely poem by the way.

Very pretty drawing and poem. Will you be finishing her in color, and could I request a copy of the finished result? I would like to add it to the Princess Picture Collage I have started on the wall near my bed.
